Sara A. Schimke is a partner at Barron, Rosenberg, Mayoras & Mayoras. She is passionate about helping families plan for their futures through estate planning, long-term care planning, special needs planning and various other elder law practice areas.
Sara is currently is a member of the governing council for the Elder Law and Disability Rights section of the Michigan State Bar and is driven to protect the right of those who don’t always have a voice. She is a former member of the Probate Section’s special Uniform Power of Attorney Act Committee. Additionally, Sara is licensed in both the State of Michigan and the Federal Eastern District of Michigan and is an Accredited Veteran’s Attorney.
In addition to practicing law, Sara is an Adjunct Professor at Cooley Law School.
Sara has a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a concentration in Business Transactions and a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Michigan University in Political Science. Sara was a pioneer member of the Thomas M. Cooley Auburn Hills Estate Planning Clinic, a pro bono estate planning program. Prior to joining BRMM, Sara practiced in the areas of probate, estate planning, and bankruptcy.
