Amy E. Peterman is an attorney at Barron, Rosenberg, Mayoras, & Mayoras. Amy joined BRMM in 2015 following a 25 – year seasoned career.  After beginning in 1988 as a private practitioner who concentrated in Probate and Family law. Amy was selected to serve as Assistant Majority Counsel for the Michigan Senate in 2006, with a focus on probate law. In 2009, Amy joined the Oakland County Probate Court as Judicial Staff Attorney for the Honorable Daniel A. O’Brien.  After four years fine-tuning her probate expertise with the Oakland County Probate Court, Amy returned to private practice where she remains today.

Amy’s practice focuses on guardianships, conservatorships, trust and estate litigation, trust and estate administration, appellate work, and general civil litigation.  She has completed the Probate and Estate Certificate conducted by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Amy is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and both the Probate and Estate Planning and the Elder Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. Amy has been recognized by the Oakland County Bar Association, in the Laches publication, as the featured Attorney of the Month.

Amy is a former school board trustee, serving on the Walled Lake Consolidated School Board from 1999 – 2008, and is a life member of Hadassah. She is also a Board Member of SCAN Oakland Michigan.
